Welcome to Mars. Well that is what it seemed like to me when we went to Ramona,CA to help with the fire cleanup. It was crazy to see everything red, black and charred. There were twisted and melted remnants of familiar things like mailboxes, fences and cars. We spent all day clearing charred scrub oak off of a hill, it was tiresome but fun to be serving. Our yellow shirts were "Mormon Helping Hands." We also passed out cleanup kits that the church had made for everyone who could use it. I loved seeing the Church serving in action. You could see these yellow shirts around helping everywhere. Check out this melted Jeep.
